1.  Good speakers this afternoon (Friday, March 9, 2 p.m.) at our free Small Business Chamber's Denver IDEA Cafe Startup Workshop, Panera Bread, 13th & Grant. Looks like the chairs at the brainstorming table are just about full, but you can attend and sit in the peanut gallery, walk-ins are welcome. For more information and optional RSVP see http://meetup.com/Denver-IDEA-Cafe. Can't join us today? RSVP "No" and you'll get an invitation to future meetings.

2.  I attended my neighborhood precinct caucus for both the Republicans (Feb 7, South High School) and the Democrats (last Tuesday, March 6 at Morey Junior High School.) Both groups both agreed to have a "bury they hatchet" meeting in November after the elections that will be the kickoff for monthly neighborhood meetings. For more about why I think Colorado's neighborhood system for nominating to the primary ballot is so important, see what my friend, the late Sue O'brien, said when she was editorial page editor for the Denver Post, I'm put it up on http://www.COCaucus.org

3.  Our new Colorado almanac and small business directory was in the news this week. You can help us get it started by taking a free listing for your business, then encouraging your friends to do the same. If your friend spends any money with us for a premium listing, we'll pay you 20%. For more see http://PioneerHQ.com

4.  When our new, free Small Business Chamber of Commerce reaches 1000 Facebook "Likes" we'll schedule our first Big Event, and invite everyone to attend for free. This morning we are at 981. Help us hit our goal, please click "Like" on http://www.SmallBizChamber.org or http://Facebook.com/Small.Business.Chamber and invite your friends to do the same.

5.  I finally broke down and have started using the new Facebook Timeline layout, have you? How do you like using it? You can see my new page at http://Facebook.com/John.S.Wren

This life is short, let's get started!
