What's next?

Big news on The Startup Show tomorrow, 4 to 5 pm see link here then, or see our Facebook Page now http://Facebook.com/SmallBizStartup

I've taken this week to ask God for direction, to see what's next in my decades long effort to strengthen the grassroots, the voice of the common person, in business and politics:

1) My non-political Small Business Chamber of Commerce and the effort to help local chambers start IDEA Cafe Startup Workshops and Franklin Circle Peer Advisory Groups, 2) the Colorado Political Committee ReferendumOrRecall.org.

A good friend told me long ago, "if you chase a rabbit you'll catch a rabbit, if you chase two rabbits you won't catch a rabbit. For years I've been trying to herd rabbits.

I hope you'll listen tomorrow (Mon, Apr 1) live via a link right here 4 to 5 pm, or to a tape of the show anytime after that here or on our Facebook Page http://Facebook.com/SmallBizStartup, where you can listen to a tape of last week's show with Doug Root (Tony Gallegos listened, emailed me "I really liked it.")

The Startup Show, sponsored by our Small Business Chamber of Commerce, heard around the world on TradioV.com continues to improve each week. Doug Root, who attended one of the first IDEA Café Startup Workshops and was in the first Franklin Circle here in Denver with me, was scheduled to be our guest, there was a confusion about the time of the show, so he'll be with us next week, mark your calendar!

Since Doug wasn't with us I used the show to talk about how I see all my various activities tying together, and Corky Kyle came on in the third segment to talk about In the Lobby, his show about Colorado politics follows ours. To see a tape of the show, see http://Facebook.com/SmallBizStartup

There was a big yawn from most people when Gov J-Hic signed and rejoiced about Pat Steadman's civil unions, they tried to make a big production out of it but from pictures I saw it was not well attended, the AP reporter who attended estimated there were 200 people. It amazed me that before, during, and after the signing #civilunions never trended on Twitter. Most of Colorado has been totally left out of having input on this.

That's why we are taking Holy Week to decide what to do with our Colorado Issue Committee. I'm the Registered Agent for ReferendumOrRecall.org and one way or the other we intend to bring about the recall of one of the legislators in the House who did not support referring the question of civil unions to Colorado voters. For more about our plan see our Facebook Page, and please consider joining us if you're not already involved in something else. http://Facebook.com/WeVoteOrWeRecall

Here's the advertisement we are running in the Denver Post (click here) the recruit volunteer and contributions. Ad is very inexpensive, but let's us attach an hour and a half discussion about natural law. Click on the link, take a look, and then if you haven't already please join us. We'll be sending out our first newsletter on Monday.

Headed toward studio for The Startup Show. Rearranged this site, this and the radio show will be my weekly communication with you, OK? Call in to be on the show, 4 to 5 p.m. Mountain each Monday.

ReferendumOrRecall.org really taking off, lots more activity, people who want to be a Colorado House Guard, form a committee to study the feasibility of recalling their Colorado House representative. We plan on issuing a score card, announce which one we will target no later than April 15. If Gov. J-Hic doesn't table SB11 he may be recalled, too, the gun lobby is discussing this.

New format of the show, 4 to 4:20, what we are doing, 4:25 to 4:40 guests startup experience (today Doug Root, should be good.) Then from 4:45 to 5:55 you can call in to be on the show. For more about the show see http://Facebook.com/SmallBizStartup or just tune in at 4 on http://TradioV.com

If you like the show, post a comment here. If you don't, send me an email! :)

My friend just published this article (click here) about power, and what to do when your on top. It's a good reminder to treat others well. Why is this rule so much easier to remember when I want something that someone else has? You can see my comment at the end of Allen's article.

I've spent too much time today figuring out how things work online. We are all becoming webmasters with these powerful tools, we can communicate better than ever.

But when do we find time to just sit and think?
