I taught English as a 2nd language in Zihuatanejo at the Everest School. Someone there used a term I hadn't heard before, haven't seen used since, "jungle boat English." I was told Disneyland's Jungle boat ride hires some guides who can't speak English on the condition they memorize the script and learn to deliver it with emotion. Some tourists try to talk with the guide, it's not believable to them when told they can't speak English. This looks like very much the same sort of thing to me. I tried a robotic therapist, didn't work for me. It is true that some human therapists are just as bad. See Robert Langs in Wikipedia, if he were still with us he'd say using a robot is a frame violation, can cause big, big problems. Seems to me degrading humans is the real danger, and the effect it is bound to have on our mental health. Of course our legal system, medical system, educational system, transportation system, all produce the same effect if we, if I and Thou, are not careful. The solution.
