A Christmas Story.

Kafka the writer is said to have told this story to some friends. In 1920 he was taking a walk through the park in Berlin and noticed a little girl sitting on bench crying. He asked her what was the matter, and sadly she shared she had lost her doll. "Let's look for it," Kafka said and they did, but the doll was no where to be found.

It was starting to get dark. Kafka told the little girl they should come back the next

When talking about a business from first thought to first sale are we talking about a startup or a start-up? AP Style book says startup, Websters say startup. Looking at this ngram analysis by Google for the use of the word in book, magazine articles, and titles (capitalized) this is how we have been talking about new businesses, campaigns, and projects since 1940, the hughe change came after WWII. Anton started coming to the LoDo Panera Bread Socrates Cafe, we haven’t met there for a year because of the Pandemic, but he has joined us online from time to time.

Seems like he started his then-new meetup a few weeks before that, and he’d gone to Friday and Saturday Socrates Cafes for a few months before that, he may have gone to Trinity Church Tuesday night Socrates Cafe, too. 

This morning I was supposed to meet with Dan, instead did Pray as You Go meditation, Examine of Lenten experience this year, started posting online and decided to set up Quarum Space, SBCC Method— The Practices of: Recover, Imagine, Think, Learn; to Start, Grow, Flourish. First question: what algorithms have you found most useful? For me IDEA and OODA Loop. As I wrote about what I’d done in journal got first member volunteering. We’ll see… as Kurt Vonnegut used to say regularly in his books.

Where’s Anton? I was hoping he’d get to his meeting early. Good for me to learn, I’ve started showing up right at 6:30 p.m. to Socrates Cafes here in Denver online on Saturdays (tonight), Tuesdays and Fridays, once a month 1st Sunday tomorrow, have I changed the time to 6:30 p.m.? Millions of little details like that, I’m working a lot, seems like playing a lot, and I guess it is since I’m not earning a penny. I’d never recommend anyone else do what I’ve done for the past 23+ years since Janet left.

 Excellent Socrates Cafe tonight, thanks Alex, Steve, Joel and Mike. As we discussed the shooting in Boulder and education today, the idea came up of a series of Socrates Cafe that might result in suggestions of what might be done to stem the tide of the downward environment for young men.

Join us next Friday or Saturday online if you might like to be part of the discussion. If we decide to undertake such an effort after the Socrates Cafe Online meetings next Friday and Saturday we will make a media release early next Friday.

I doubt it. My suggestion. Trump should resign, let Pence pardon him and include in the pardon an order to turn back on his Twitter account. My hunch. Trump will turn lemons into lemonaid, make a few more million out of all this. If the Democrats are vindictive, just that much the better, it will be like fighting tar baby in a politically incorrect book nearly everyone in my generation was raised with. I never liked Trump, never voted for him, never will, but the way he is being dissed by just about everyone is outrageous. My hunch, he will lead an effort to take over and then split the Democrats in their own party. That definately needs to be done. Splitting the pro-life vote is a calulated political manuver, in my opinion.
